The bible is CORRECT to say that ABRAM, or "Abraham" - the proto-typical if mythical first Semite (Jew) "chosen by god" WAS FROM UR - for the SEMITES who BECAME JEWS arrived in the Canaan Valley via the TRADE-ROUTES from Sumer (Babylon - ancient Ur was very close to later Babylon, both in what had been Sumer) through Akkad and later Assyria! Christianity AMELIORATED some of the worst aspects of Judaism - above all, WELCOMING CONVERTS instead of just trying to EXTERMINATE everyone! and as well by EMBRACING the FEMININE, NURTURING side of the heavens by embracing the myth of the virgin birth of the infant man/god Christ - but at cost of that later development of Christianity, "ETERNAL HELL" which was even more gruesome than anything the ancients had conceived. ETERNAL DAMNATION was basically a penalty for A THOUGHT CRIME! - which THOUGHT CRIMES were really a form of MATERIAL TRESPASS against the PROPERTY RIGHTS of the ultimate god-KING-EMPEROR of them all (Yahweh)! |
