FANTASTIC exhibit that shows
the REAL ORIGINS of Western Civilization...
not the FAKE HISTORY of the bible's
**awful** exodus story!!
The exhibit showed some
scenes and displays of daily life in Egypt...
here female musicians playing several instruments....
and the Egyptian peoples' relations with their powerful gods...
half of whom were female... goddesses!!
(Here the goddess Mut)
But the exhibit focused particularly on
the POWER OF WOMEN -
not just Egyptian queens, but in some cases,
WOMEN as Pharaohs in their own right!!
Egyptian Queens including Nerfertiti, Nefertari,
Isetnofret and Tiye......
and (our emphasis) especially
Egyptian Queens Ahmose-Nefertari
& Hatshepsut.
Hatshepsut was queen when her half-brother and husband (!)
the Pharaoh Thutmose II died young....
.but she STEPPED UP to RULE. AS PHARAOH in her own right until her husband's infant son by another wife could eventually become pharoah,
thereby preserving her father's line on the throne (there were many other adult young princes who could have stepped in not directly from her father)... and gave Egypt a period of peace & prosperity lasting 20 years!!

Here's the Egyptian lion-headed goddess SEKHMET... daughter of supreme founding god Ra, she embodied the scorching rays of sun at midday... and in her lioness persona she had a craving for human blood!
The plaquard tells us that Sekhmet was so bloodthirsty she tried to devour all of mankind!!
...but the other gods & goddesses TRICKED HER into drinking red-colored beer in stead of blood... She got drunk, passed out, and awoke as a gentle house cat!!...
LONG before the Jews or Christians came up with the idea of a frightful ARMAGEDDON, rivers of human blood signaling the end times...
The Egyptians beat them to it
with the end of humanity personified as a blood-lusting female with a lioness head !!!!!!
But the REAL GEM of the exhibit was this innocuous statue of a man....
Pharaoh Ahmose I, founder of the 18th dynasty... and FOUNDER of the entire NEW KINGDOM era!
"New kingdom" because prior to him, Egypt had been CONQUEREDV and RULED OVER by FOREIGNERS.... by SEMITIC overlords, the HYKSOS!
BOTH Ahmose's father and older brother were killed fighting the Hyksos..
but his mother kept them together, raised Ahmose to be a warrior, and he eventually defeated the Hyksos at Avaris in about 1550 B.C.... He EXPELLED the Semitic Hyksos from Egypt to the periphery of the Egyptian empire around Canaan / Palestine... where they would eventually become Hebrews/Jews!
When, 1,000 years later the Hebrew scribes would write up this story in the bible, they INVERTED the facts...
...the (proto) Hebrews werent portrayed
as hated CONQUERORS....
but as poor downtrodden slaves!!!
And although the jews HATED Egyptians and the Egyptian Pharaoh...
...they STOLE his name - aMOSE - for their MYTHICAL savior-of-the-nation figure MOSES !!
