A gruesome video has been released purportedly showing members of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terror group brutally killing Shia Muslims in Iraq.The footage recently posted on Mashreghnews website shows members of the al-Qaeda-linked Takfiri group gunning down Shia civilians in drive-by shootings. The terrorists are seen opening fire on Iraqi Shias travelling in their cars or walking by in the streets.
After spraying their victims’ vehicles with bullets, the terrorists stop their cars and shoot the occupants yet again at point-blank range in an apparent bid to make sure the ill-fated victims are dead.
The footage also includes a scene where the terrorists riddle a pedestrian with bullets before his blood-covered body falls to the ground.
Takfiri groups, including ISIL, are reportedly coming to Iraq from neighboring Syria and Saudi Arabia to undermine security in the country. Iraq is currently witnessing a wave of violence unprecedented in recent years.
Official figures show that more than 1,000 people, mostly civilians, were killed and nearly 1,400 others injured in violent attacks across Iraq in April
