  It is very possible that THOSE DISASTERS that HAPPEN TO THE JEWS SO OFTEN are INHERENT TO the JEWISH EXISTENCE. For when you look at it... 

THEY GAINED A LOT out of the holocaust...
IF THERE WASN'T A HOLOCAUST, there WOULDN'T BE AN ISRAEL.
They managed to turn this pain in to a lot of money, reparations money
They managed to translate American, German, British GUILT in to HUGE POLITICAL POWER.

[note: human tribe,  SENDING INDIVIDUALS OUT to explore for new lands is an entirely normal process - COLONIZATION - and usually involves LOSSES of many of those journeying hundreds or thousands of miles from their homes.  The Polynesia seafarers must have lost many of their double-hulled canoes sailing in to the unknown (and in to the wind) on open voyages across the great Pacific, searching out new lands... but when one such voyage did find land, they could return home with directions, and full scale colonization would soon be on the way.

So the "homeless" Jewish diaspora could  LOSE a host nation in Spain... but they would then simply head to Istanbul, or across the Med to North Africa, and help the Muslim slave traders there raid and capture slaves of their former neighbors in Christian ruled Spain.
The Jews of the 20th Century capitalized on 2 new trends:  after centuries of great wars, the Christians in Europe became somewhat tired of fighting each other - at least, they were no longer as inherently aggressive & warmongering as the 9th century Vikings or 12 century Normans  (although modern warfare could kill many more thousands of victims in the same or less time, the urge to go killing other European diminished slightly). 
 The CIVILIZING tendencies of  literacy and increasing stability of 18th C. Christianity

 made it easier for Jews to integrate themselves in to host European nations, portrayingthemselves as loyal friends and allies,  and portraying themselves as the CIVILIZING font from which the "Judeo > Christian bible" was written.... even though the bible isn't very "civilized" to neighboring tribes, kingdoms, cities, and peoples, see the MASSACRE of the hapless people of  Jericho for just one bloody example!

 IF THEY ARE SUICIDAL, or if they have a BIG SUICIDAL ELEMENT within their culture, it is a big problem for them, but the big problem is  that when it happens
MANY OTHER PEOPLE ALSO DIE.
 And the only thing I can do is to tell the truth,  I don't claim to know all the truth, but I'm quite effective at detecting lies...  I may manage to deliver a message to help people, and to tell Jews how dangerous the game their politicians are playing...."

Why You Should Never Call Someone (or Yourself) a Shiksa

Shiksa is a Yiddish word that means "non-Jewish female." It's especially used for an attractive woman who could be a "temptation" to Jewish men.
The people who use this word in conversation very rarely know its real meaning: abomination. And the people who know the meaning and use it for that meaning probably aren't the people you want to spend much time with. The two other translations I've found for shiksa are "impure" and "object of loathing." It is not only pejorative, it is intended to be offensive and cruel. It's even used in Israel like Americans would use curse words to refer to women.
